INFINITE POSSIBILITES

In 2018, LaunchLKN expanded its programming to include an Infinite Possibilities Series to evoke ideas related to groundbreaking technology. In conjunction with the Jay Hurt Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Davidson College, LaunchLKN engages local entrepreneurs, corporations, and faculty who are exploring each technology to share knowledge with the community. In addition to exploring various topics from different perspectives, the events feature an "Ethics in Innovation" component for discussion centered on the human impact of these technologies.

Our community boasts a lot of super-smart tech junkies. Some are working in tech every day, and others just enjoy exploring things like AI, blockchain, IoT, cybersecurity, or CRISPR as a hobby. Think of our Interest Groups as tech playgrounds. Challenge yourself, work on creative projects, and engage with like-minded techies to advance and share knowledge.

ANGELS AND DEVILS

the details of private investing

Curious about angel investing but not sure where to start? Join us for a 4-week course on angel investing! The series will address putting investment terms to use, building and managing a private company portfolio and achieving positive returns. Instructors will include Don Rainey, Mark McDowell, and Chris Langford. The sessions will be educational as well as interactive with the opportunity to access current companies seeking investment during the final session.
